  1) How can I get a free alarm system like all those other companies offer?
There is no such thing as a free alarm system. We can only ask you read the fine print of the companies that claim they will give you a free system. Take notice of both, the length of the contract and their monthly monitoring cost, then add it all together. We guarantee you will end up paying for their system. They offer them to you with high monitoring fees and you are in the long contract which basically will pay for the system.

  2) Why should I purchase a system instead of getting a free one from another company?
You may get your system from anyone you wish to. However, while the other companies claim to offer to give you a free system, they make you sign a long term contract, their monitoring rates are high, and you are left paying for the system in the end. We only have one thing to say to that, you were the catch by accepting it. Please take the time to browse over the comparison chart. We break down the basic cost and how we can save you money when you purchase the equipment. This allows us to offer you monitoring services at a much lower rate. Contact us if you haven't fallen for one of those free system gimmicks. Come to a company you can trust and believe in.

  3) Do you install surveillance cameras in restrooms?
Absolutely not! No one from Elliott Security and Alarm Systems will ever approach you in that manner. Our company has a zero tolerance for anyone installing our equipment anywhere it may be unlawful to do so. We do not promote this and will exercise the right to cancel any and all contracts should we ever feel threatened or approached to doing so by anyone.

  4) Can I update my existing system with one of your wireless kits?
We can replace an existing system with a new wireless kit. However, we would need to make an appointment to determine the best coverage for you. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a free estimate.

  5) HELP! I forgot my alarm code to my system, can you help me?
Remain calm. Call us immediately and we can help you reset your codes. You will need to verify your account information.

We will update this information as it becomes available.

  7) What is 2-Way Voice and what does it cost?
2-Way Voice Monitoring offers two-way communications via your alarm system. When you activate an audible panic button from alarm panel, a trained central station operator can talk and listen to you and verify whether an actual alarm condition exists, and additionally help you remain calm while the emergency authorities are dispatched. There are no unsightly wires, cables or attachments visible. We want you to know we'll always be there for you when you need us most.

2-Way Voice allows you to talk to the central station and provide important information without having to locate a phone. In a real emergency getting to a phone can be a difficult thing to do. With 2-Way Voice you can talk to the central station from anywhere in the home or business. 2-Way Voice is available for new and existing alarm systems. There is a $50.00 activation fee and $5.00 per month on your agreement plan.

No one can hear or talk to you unless one of the system panic buttons has been activated. The alarm system from your home must send a signal before the central station operator can communicate with you. It's one of the safest and most effective way to help protect your family, home and belongings.

  8) What will the response time be when there is an alarm?

When your security system triggers an alarm, our Central Station will respond within thirty seconds. Consistent with local laws, our Central Station will notify police, fire or medical emergency services after verifying a true emergency. Please note that some city and state governments have placed various conditions or restrictions on their response policies and do not dispatch emergency personnel based solely on alarm signals. Accordingly, Elliott Security and Alarm Systems or our Central Station cannot guarantee emergency personnel will be dispatched based solely on alarm signals in certain areas. You should contact your local government, police, fire or medical departments to determine response policies.

  9) What if my telephone landline is cut, will my alarm system still function properly?
The alarm system will properly function as programmed by the installer. However, if the landline is cut then the system will not dial to the central station to dispatch the proper authorities. A cellular backup unit provides your home or business with the highest level of security available. In the event telephone service is interrupted and this device is installed, your security system can still transmit alarms and supervisory signals to the central station. Cellular units can be installed and programmed in existing systems. Please note that with any cellular provider, signal service can be weak in certain areas. We recommend a landline to get the maximum service with the alarm systems. We are not responsible if the cellular service is weak or interrupted in any way.

Cellular backup signals communicate on the secure digital part of the network, so there are no busy signals or dropped calls. We incorporate separate receivers as well as a fully supervised network to ensure fast and efficient communication from one of our wireless alarm kits. The cellular unit, activation and monitoring rates are additional.

  10) Does this wireless system have many false alarms?
NO. The technology today is very sophisticated and updated as time progresses. Most common false alarms are from user errors. The systems comply with SIA CP-01 False Alarm Standards to help cut down on false alarms. It is our responsibility to instruct our customers on how to operate these systems. A user video guide is provided for additional reference.

  11) What happens if we lose power?
These systems have a rechargeable backup battery installed in the control panel in the event your power is lost. When power is restored your battery will recharge within 24 hours.

12) What happens if I need police, medical or fire assistance, do I dial 911?
We gather all the basic information needed that a 911 operator would ask for in the event of an emergency when we set up your account. We then program the alarm system panel by activating your panel emergency panic buttons. When a emergency panic button is pressed, the Central Station will receive the panic code you pressed from the panel, and dispatch the appropriate emergency authorities. This method will free up the 911 system saving you more time to focus on the emergency.

13) Are these wireless alarm systems hard to operate if they are sophisticated?
No. In fact they are so easy even a five year old can be shown how to turn this system off with a four digit pass code. Keep in mind that it is your responsibility to train whover operates your systems.
